I highly recommend Shawn as a personal training coach. I have been working with him for over 3 months and he has helped me tremendously in my personal fitness journey. I started working out with him after being sedentary for over a year due to health issues. He is very patient and concerned about addressing MY needs – as opposed to a “one size fits all” approach. Shawn is very professional and is always researching the best stretches, exercises, etc. to help with each person’s individual needs.  In the short time I’ve been working with him, my strength and stamina are both improving. I can feel the improvement in my everyday movement and can see the improvement in the numbers. (Weight amount increasing and heart rate improving.)

Q1 - How has working with me as your coach impacted your lifestyle?

A1 - Working with Coach Shawn has had a positive impact on my lifestyle. He is passionate about his job and an extraordinary role model. I have become more disciplined therefore improving my physical health and balance as well as my mental well-being.

Q2 - What were your top three goals when you started coaching?

A2 - I have been diagnosed with osteopenia. My utmost goal is to improve my bone density through weight-bearing exercise. I am making progress every day which I attribute to Coach Shawn’s excellent guidance and expertise. His knowledge of the human systemic anatomy is impressive and he has the ability to articulate how each muscle plays a role in the body. My subsequent goal is to reduce my risk of falls as I am getting older. Exercises incorporate balance which can improve static and dynamic stability. If I do fall, I want to be able to be strong enough to lift myself up. My 3rd goal is to not become dependent on others as I age staying strong and healthy.

Q3 - How was I able to help you work toward those goals?

A3 - Coach Shawn has helped me work towards my goals by taking his own time to prepare and personalize our schedules according to our needs. He has an excellent pace and use of time by managing to fit in a complete workout in an hour, while focusing on proper form and technique.

Q4 - What is the biggest change you've noticed since starting coaching?

A4 - The modification I’ve observed is the significant improvement of strength on my legs and arms. I have also noticed a decrease in my anxiety. I am finally able to relax.

Q5 - How would you describe me as a coach?

A5 - Coach Shawn is an exceptional professional at his job in strength training and cardio. He is organized and prepared to start each day with enthusiasm.
